Privacy Policy
How Horizon Cruise Agency Pty Ltd collects, uses and protects the personal information of guests, members and website visitors.
Last updated: 1 September 20261What we collect
We collect the information needed to run voyages and answer enquiries: contact details (name, email, phone), booking information (dates, cabin class, dietary and accessibility requirements), league membership records and payment confirmations. Our website also records standard technical data such as pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies described in our Cookie Policy.
We do not collect government identifiers through this website, and we never ask for card numbers by email or contact form.
2How we use it
Personal information is used to process bookings, operate voyages and events, manage league memberships, respond to enquiries and send service communications such as boarding details and schedule changes. Marketing emails are sent only to people who opted in, and every message carries a working unsubscribe link.
3Who we share it with
We share booking details with the cruise lines operating our charters, because manifests and cabin allocation require them. Payment processing is handled by our payment provider, and guest lists are shared with port authorities where maritime law requires it. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not share contact lists with sponsors or other guests.
4How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for seven years to meet Australian taxation and maritime record obligations. Enquiry emails that do not become bookings are deleted after twelve months. League membership records persist while membership is active and are anonymised two seasons after it ends.
5Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where no legal obligation requires us to keep it. Requests go to [email protected] and are answered within thirty days. EU residents additionally hold the rights described in our Legal Notice under the GDPR section.
6Security and complaints
Booking data is stored on encrypted systems with access limited to staff who need it for operations. If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will investigate. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
