Do I need poker experience to come?
None at all. Public events run teaching tables where dealers walk beginners through their first hands, and roughly a third of our guests never sit at a table at all.
Is real money played?
Championship series and the salon carry real buy-ins under published structures. Corporate, charity and celebration formats play for prizes, never cash, so the stakes stay social.
What should I wear?
Smart casual covers almost everything: no thongs on the gaming floor. Themed evenings, the salon and galas suggest higher on the invitation. Pack a jacket; ballrooms run cool and decks do not.
Where do we board?
Fremantle Passenger Terminal on Peter Hughes Drive. Evening events board from 18:00; voyage windows are printed on your confirmation. Parking is limited, so the taxi rank is the easier arrival.
Can my partner come without playing?
Yes. The guest programme runs port excursions, tastings, deck events and spa access in parallel with the gaming schedule, and non-playing guests book at a reduced berth rate on voyages.
What if I get seasick?
Our vessels are large and WA coastal waters are usually gentle, but if you are prone, choose a mid-ship cabin, board fed rather than fasted, and bring your preferred remedy. Evening loops stay inside sheltered water almost the whole time.
Are children allowed?
Gaming floors are eighteen-plus. Family charters can arrange supervised children's programming in separate spaces; ask your producer when you book.
What happens in bad weather?
The captain decides; we adapt. Itineraries flex around conditions and the casino floor runs regardless. Material changes that remove a headline feature trigger the refund-and-transfer choice on the refunds page.
Can you cater for dietary needs?
Yes, with notice. Dietary and accessibility requirements are collected at booking and passed to the ship's galley; unusual requests get a direct answer from the chef's team before you confirm.
How do refunds work?
Cancellation scales depend on the product and the notice given; the full table is on the refunds page. The short version: early cancellations refund in full less an admin fee, and resale of your berth unlocks a late cancellation.
Life aboard

On-board logistics and rules

Is there Wi-Fi and phone signal?
Ship Wi-Fi covers messaging and email; calls drop in and out with distance offshore. Most guests treat it as a feature rather than a bug. Emergency contact runs through the ship's satellite line.
What currency do I need aboard?
None for spending: everything aboard charges to your cabin or event account, settled by card at the end. Tournament buy-ins are arranged through the cage, which accepts card and transfer.
Is there a smoking policy?
Smoking is confined to marked deck areas per the vessel's policy. The gaming floor, dining rooms and cabins are non-smoking throughout.
What is the boarding process?
Photo ID at the terminal, manifest check against your booking, a short safety briefing, then aboard. The whole process runs about twenty minutes per group when guests arrive inside their window.
Can I leave the ship at port calls?
Yes. Gangway times are posted the night before, and excursions board on a schedule. Miss the last tender and you miss the sailing, so the programme builds generous buffers into every call.
Are cabins assigned or chosen?
You choose the cabin class at booking and the desk assigns specific rooms, with preference given to booking order. Groups asking to stay on the same deck are accommodated wherever the manifest allows.
Season guide
When to sail

Season questions, answered

When is the best season for a voyage?
November through March is peak sailing season with the fullest calendar. Shoulder months (October, April) offer softer pricing and calmer booking windows.
Do you sail in winter?
Fewer voyages, but not none. Winter is league and masterclass season ashore, plus dockside and short-loop events that stay inside sheltered water.
How early does the calendar publish?
The season publishes in August for the following October-to-April window. Registered guests get the calendar a week before public release.
